This is another optical illusion where your eyes deceive you. Which line is bigger? Well, of course they’re actually the same length.

How does this optical illusion work? This illusion works because things in the distance would normally be smaller, but in a picture like this, the perspective of the road really plays tricks on your mind.

This optical illusion also demonstrates one point perspective. Notice how all the vertical lines actually converge into a point off of the picture. All of the other lines appear to be horizontal. Perspective is what makes pictures look truly 3-d. But you knew that from art class, didn’t you?
