Sometimes pictures of things in 3D just don't do it justice. So here, we've created an original optical illusion sculpture video of one of the pices of art that Guido Moretti sent me after we conducted the interview with him. This is a prototype for the cube-non-cube illusion.
Here's how it works: First, you'll see the Necker Cube. (That's the cube that flips on you and at first looks like it's coming toward you, then later it looks like it's pointing away. But then, what comes next in the video is amazing. You find out that the shape you thought you were seeing was not the shape at all, but a completely different optical illusion.
Watch as the scary faces disappear before your eyes.
The longer you stare the stronger the illusion. Perfect to send to your friends for Halloween!
