Moving Stars Desktop Backgrounds

Moving Stars Desktop Background

This is sort of a double optical illusion background because it does two cool things:

1) Obviously the stars will start to move as you gaze at the picture. Especially as you move your eyes from picture to picture, you'll see the other stars start to move.

2) Also, you'll notice the subtle flashing effect in the center of each of the circles. The solid centers will appear to flash or pulsate a bit as you look around the image.

We've also created this for you to use as the background on your computer if you want to freak your friends out a bit when they see your computer. Or just for you own pure enjoyment. To set this moving image as your desktop background picture, right click on the image and click "Set as Background".

Important Copyright Information: This optical illusion background was created exclusively for the site. We'd love for you to link to it, but please contact us for permission if you'd like to actually use this or a variation of it on your website. We also are happy to liscence our illusions for print or offline publications as well, and we have a solid history with major publishing companies and image brokers.

Here are the other sizes that we have available for you to download. Even if you don't want to use the image as your background, using these images will allow you to zoom in and sometimes that makes the illusion a little stronger. Also, if you are going to be printing this image for proof that it really isn't moving, we suggest you use one of the larger images so that it'll print more clearly.

Instructions to view this optical illusion: Gaze into the circles, and you will see that the other circles of stars appear to move. Now, there's nothing actually moving in this picture, and if you don't believe me, you can certainly print it out to make sure. Or cover up most of the image with your hand so that you only see a little bit of the stars and the illusion will be greatly reduced. It is your brain that makes them move.

If you like this type of moving background pictures, be sure to look around this site because there are some other ones that are really cool. One of the visitor favorites is the one that looks like blue poker chips on a light green background.
