New Statue on Building Optical Illusion

Here is a great picture of an optical illusion that is painted on the side of a building. At first glance it looks like a really huge statue on the building, but as you get closer, and take a look from some different angles, you’ll see that actually it’s just painted on the building. What makes this so great is the incredible shadows that really add some depth to the picture. Also, can see see that the columns that you see are also painted on, yet the windows are real.

I’m not posting where this is, I’d like to see if someone can guess as to the location of the building? It’s viewable from a somewhat popular tourist attraction in the city. If you have own or manage an old building are are looking to spice up the side a bit, you should attempt to spice it up so that others can get enjoyment from it! Otherwise, this would have just been a boring side of a hotel (oops there’s a clue).
Trompe L’Oleil is what this type of optical illusion is called, which is basically the attempt to paint or draw on a flat surface something that appears to be real or three dimensional (3d).
There are huge images in the gallery, so if you want to see it a lot larger to look at the intricate detail, just click on the smaller pictures and they will expand!
