Another unique optical illusion. Here you’ll see the spinnign spiral spheres. These balls will move up the spring, slowly at times, faster at others. BUT they aren’t moving up at all! It just appears that they’re moving up, just like the classic barber shop optical illusion, but much more mesmerizing!

Upside Down Stairs – Flipping Stairs Optical Illusion

This is a simple, enjoyable optical illusion. Just stare at the picture for awhile, and at first you’ll think that the stairs go up. A fairly simple illusion. But as your eyes look around the picture, and especially if they glance to the left corner, it helps your brain think of the stairs in a different way.

They start to flip perspective and it looks like you’re looking UP at the stairs instead. Then your brain will flip it back. It appears to be impossible to imagine the stairs going both ways at the same time. The picture doesn’t flip the picture, it’s how your brain interprets it.

Stare for about one minute and you'll see the stairs appear to flip.

How does this optical illusion work? Well, without the other visual clues that we’d normally see, such as shadows and additional lighting cues, the stairs can appear to go in both directions. This illusion illustrates how our minds have an extremely difficult time interpreting an object as two things at once. Vermont State Police awake to find a pig Optical Illusion on their logo

Remember the movie Wayne’s World? Wayne asks Garth if he smells bacon, right in front of a police officer. This references the slang of calling a police officer a pig. Why are we talking about this?

Well, as it turns out, a prisoner designed the new Vermont State Police Logo. It was voted on and chosen among many. But there’s a little problem. Take a look at the cow. Can you see a pig in the markings of the cow? Of course you can. Sure, this may be one of the easier optical illusions that you’ll actually see, and you barely have to think about it. However, it made it through the review process and is currently being used as their logo.

Take a look at the photo gallery and you’ll see some Vermont State Police badges before the pig… in fact before the cow was even added.

Others say that this design also changed the little trees/shrubs on the left into looking more like mushrooms. What else can you find. This was just discovered a few days ago, so who knows, maybe there are more hidden meanings inside of the logo that we have not yet discovered.

One thing is for sure: The next time they change their logo, they’ll be looking for hidden pigs and all sorts of other hidden things a little more closely.

Some people may say that it’s just a harmless prank, but it’s going to take tens of thousands of dollars to create a new logo — and now there’s public outcry that they want to keep the new logo, because people like it! The shrinking sun optical illusion

Looks like the sun shrinks as you stare at it.

In this great photo from NASA, you can see a double set of sun spots pointed right at the earth. Even more interesting is that it appears the sun is shrinking. Well, not in real life, so don’t worry, you’re safe. Since in this picture your eye naturally wants to look at the sun spots, the image appears to slightly shrink. If your eye travels around the edges of the sun in this picture, you may get the same effect. So it’s not often that you would hear someone suggest to “Stare at the sun for a little while!” — so you might as well take advantage of the opportunity.

Swimming Pool Optical Illusion

These swimming pool videos are pretty incredible. It’s from an art installation in Brisbane Australia. It just looks really weird when you see people in their dry clothes in a swimming pool.

Wow this is a pretty incredible optical illusion video. It’s a swimming pool, but everything is not as it seems. It also looks incredible from above, here is a different video showing the same thing:

Notice also how the person with the second video didn’t orient their camera properly, so it’s all vertical. Just keep in mind if you’re taking videos with your camera to have the wide part more horizontal!

Optical Illusions Floating Wooden Blocks
