Okay, give this optical illusion some time, and you'll earn to appreciate it's beauty.

As you first glance at this with your weary eyes, it just looks like a funky shape. Same with your second and third glances. But if you give this optical illusion some time, you'll actually start to see the cube that the center spike is driven through. But usually only for a second, before the object looks more like the octagon shaped object on the end of this wheel.

If only the poor guy spinning the thing knew that it wasn't actually connected to anything!
